Getting there
Take the South Coast line from Sydney to Kiama station. For Gerringong, Berry and Bomaderry you usually change here onto the short train. Terralong Street is a few minutes on foot from the station. Check the time, and any trackwork, on transportnsw.info.
Stops in order
The text version of the route: stops, time at each and the legs between them. Times are estimates, without queues, traffic or swims.
1. Terralong Street~40 min at the stop
Kiama's main shopping street: coffee, small shops and the way down to the harbour. The pin sits on the street itself.
Tip: Start with coffee here and walk to the water while the lighthouse car park is still free.

2. Kiama Harbour~25 min at the stop
The small harbour between the shopping street and the lighthouse headland. If the blowhole is working, you can already hear it from here.
Tip: A short pause by the boats. The headland is on foot from here, so the car can stay at the station.

3. Kiama Blowhole~30 min at the stop
The blowhole by the lighthouse on Blowhole Point Road. Entry is free and the platform is open at any time. It works hardest in a south-east swell. There is a picnic area, a toilet and a cafe beside it.
Worth knowing: George Bass wrote about this place in 1797. The local name Khanterinte is tied to the noise of the sea.
Tip: Stay on the viewing platform. Spray reaches the deck when the swell is up. Little Blowhole at Kiama Heights is a short drive, not a continuation of this walk.

Before you go
- Route times are estimates: walking, driving and a sensible pause at each stop. Add queues, traffic and swims yourself.
- Prices, timetables and trail status change. Check the venue's official site and the state transport app before you go.
- On beaches, swim only between the red and yellow flags. Use sun protection even when it is cloudy.
