Getting there

From Noosa Heads to Eumundi is about 20 minutes by highway: take the Eumundi exit and follow Memorial Drive. Without a car: bus 631 from Noosa Heads bus station (via Tewantin and Cooroy) stops by the market on Memorial Drive; on Saturdays a direct 630 trip leaves the market for Noosa Junction at 1:05pm. Route 631 is not part of Noosa's free weekend buses, so check times on translink.com.au. The car park at the end of Park Road fills early; it is easier to park near Hastings Street and walk the boardwalk.

Stops in order

The text version of the route: stops, time at each and the legs between them. Times are estimates, without queues, traffic or swims.

  1. Shops

    1. The Original Eumundi Markets~2 h at the stop

The Sunshine Coast's best-known market: over 360 approved stallholders, local art, fashion, jewellery, woodwork, food and live music. Its motto is "Make it, Bake it, Sew it, Grow it".

Worth knowing: The market opened in 1979 with three stalls and eight customers; it now welcomes over a million visitors a year.

Tip: Wednesday and Saturday 7:30am to 2:00pm. Have breakfast at the market stalls. Paid parking is at Albert Street and Napier Road; free street spaces are gone by 9am. Address: 80 Memorial Drive.

  2. 2. Boiling Pot and Tea Tree Bay~40 min at the stop

The start of the Coastal Walk in Noosa National Park. After 300 m the Boiling Pot lookout hangs over a churning cove, then the track drops to calm Tea Tree Bay, a sandy cove among the rocks.

Worth knowing: Settlers set the land aside as a reserve back in 1879, and it officially became a national park in 1939.

Tip: The park is free. Dolphin Point is 1.2 km in; beyond it the track is unsealed. Bring water and a hat. Check the park alerts on parks.qld.gov.au before setting off.
