Stops in order
The text version of the route: stops, time at each and the legs between them. Times are estimates, without queues, traffic or swims.
Day 1. The headland
Day in Google Maps ↗1. Hastings Street~30 min at the stop
Noosa Heads' main street a block from the beach: boutiques, galleries and surf shops, local Noosa labels next to international ones, and coffee carts lining the street in the morning.
Tip: Coffee here, then the bag goes on for the track. Save the swim for the way back, between the flags.

2. Boiling Pot~15 min at the stop
The first lookout, 300 m from the park entrance, on a sealed path.
Worth knowing: Settlers set the land aside as a reserve back in 1879, and it officially became a national park in 1939.
Tip: With a stroller, this is a comfortable turnaround if you want to skip the steeper gradients further on.

3. Dolphin Point~25 min at the stop
The lookout 1.2 km from the entrance. Koalas are in the canopy, and the surface is still sealed.
Tip: Toward Hell's Gates the track has steps. Alexandria Bay is unpatrolled, and many people there are without clothes. Families walk back to Main Beach.

Day 2. South beaches
Day in Google Maps ↗4. Sunshine Beach~50 min at the stop
The beach south of the headland. The far end of the Coastal Walk also arrives here, 5.4 km one way from the day-use area, if you walk the whole thing.
Tip: By car it is a short hop from Noosa Heads. Swim between the flags when they are out.

5. Peregian Beach~40 min at the stop
A quiet village south of Sunshine Beach: a square of cafés under shady trees, with a skate park and playground right on the beachfront. On the first and third Sunday mornings of the month there's a market.
Tip: Lunch in the village, then back north. The coastal bus also runs, at 50 cents.

Day 3. Eumundi
Day in Google Maps ↗6. Eumundi~1 h 30 min at the stop
The town 15 minutes west of Noosa Heads. The Original Eumundi Markets run every Wednesday and Saturday from 7:30am to 2:00pm, rain or shine, at 80 Memorial Drive, Eumundi QLD 4562. The market has run since 1979, and the Wednesday and Saturday stall sets differ.
Tip: On other days the town is enough for a coffee and the main street, and the stalls are shut. It is worth putting this day on a Wednesday or a Saturday.

7. Laguna Lookout~25 min at the stop
The lookout on Viewland Drive above Noosa Heads, on the way back from Eumundi.
Tip: A short sunset stop if you left the market after lunch.

Before you go
- Route times are estimates: walking, driving and a sensible pause at each stop. Add queues, traffic and swims yourself.
- Prices, timetables and trail status change. Check the venue's official site and the state transport app before you go.
- On beaches, swim only between the red and yellow flags. Use sun protection even when it is cloudy.
