Stops in order
The text version of the route: stops, time at each and the legs between them. Times are estimates, without queues, traffic or swims.
1. Kelly's Bush~30 min at the stop
The bush locals held in 1971. The end of Alfred Street, a view to Cockatoo Island, and tracks with no boardwalk.
Tip: Bus to Woolwich, then walk to the end of Alfred Street. Keep to the shore through the Horse Paddock for the next point.

2. Clarkes Point~25 min at the stop
The lawn on the Woolwich point. The harbour is wide here, and the crowd is not. It is the same shore, walked on.
Tip: Picnic on the grass. A short climb continues to the wharf if you are leaving by ferry.

3. Woolwich Wharf~15 min at the stop
A small wharf on Valentia Street at the very tip of the Woolwich peninsula. After Kelly's Bush and Clarkes Point the day ends by the water: if a ferry is running, you ride back to the city across the harbour, no taxi over the bridge.
Tip: Check the board for the ferry. If nothing is running, the bus leaves from Woolwich Road.

Before you go
- Route times are estimates: walking, driving and a sensible pause at each stop. Add queues, traffic and swims yourself.
- Prices, timetables and trail status change. Check the venue's official site and the state transport app before you go.
- On beaches, swim only between the red and yellow flags. Use sun protection even when it is cloudy.
